Rubber grometts?
Where can I get replacement rubber grometts that hold the air filter assembly down? Mine have rotted away!
Thanks!:twothumbs: |
I replaced one I lost with one from the hardware store. It isn't too complicated a part. One that is close seems to work just fine.

The rubber grommet/spacer is GM part number 19177872, GM list is $4.30 ea.
These folks have 'em for $3.01 ea..... http://www.gmpartseast.com/parts/gm-...72_spacer.html Or like Breadfan says, head to the hardware store, you'll probably be able to match 'em up pretty close to something. |

I would have to agree with Mike. gmpartsdirect.com is solid. Got my air box bracket from them. Still solid. And like OEM. -kevin |
I didn't even take the other to compare. I just guessed and applied the proper amount of thumb force. For the price, i could afford to be wrong a few times before surpassing the cost of the gm part.

And if you wipe them with some hi-temp grease, it will keep them from drying out, + ease the removal & re-install of the air box.. |
