Yeah but most people look at v8's like they are some sort of mythical gas drinking beast, and that is totally wrong. Before we got the HHR we had my 6000 lb v8 wagon that got over 30 mpg highway and her little cirrus with a v6 that got about 24 mpg highway on a lucky day.

just look at the mileage specs for the new vette :) all that performance, with 30mpg highway mileage
