Thought I would "chime" in. Everyone is my family always where's a seat belt.
After a bad wreck and my son's knee cap was destroyed we all learned are leason. Even the teenage who knows it all.
With that said, I still hate the chime.

It's more of a gut feeling for me when I get in the vehicle although I admit I wear it more than I go without it. Especially in the Dallas area, the cops definitely look for seatbelts!!! I got a ticket a few years ago to prove it....my attorney said to just pay it, no use fighting the ticket.

I wear mine because I had to when I was in the Army and now, because Illinois has seen fit to again invade my personal liberties and my car I wear it to avoid the ticket. I guess I haven't really noticed the seat belt warning, but I do thank GM for not making the turn signal indication sound as annoying as the one in my kid's "03 Focus, I would sell that car just to rid myself of that sound...I am now trying to convince him to trade for an HHR...
It's pretty damn annoying.
