Shimmy at 60mph???

Interested if anyone else is experiencing the same issue I am....? I've got a 2LT with the (OEM) polished 17's and approx 1900miles on my HHR. I've always noticed a slight shimmy (or shake) when I approach the 55 - 60mph range.
Logically- took it to the dealer advising the front doesn't seem to pull one way or another (eliminating an alignment issue) and stating it only occured at a specific speed. Well - they pulled the wheels off and re-balanced stating they were 'all out of balance *a little*'! What exactly that means, I'm not sure- I always thought wheels were either IN balance or OUT... period!?
Well - turns out THAT wasn't the issue!!! Hell- I don't even think the dealer took the vehicle out for a test drive after balancing!?!?!:wtf:
Curious if anyone else is, or has, experienced this issue with your HHR? I've wrenched on my fair share of vehicles over the years, and although I'm no mechanic- I'd like to think my dealer's NOT that cheap and incompetent (right :scared:) !!!!!

Nope. ;) No shaking with my HHR at well over 60.

alignment or balance usually causes that

shaking when braking is warped rotors

good luck

I think it's the Firestone tires. I noticed that shimmy when I hit around 60 MPH while the car is still warming up (a highway 1 mile from home). However after the tires got warm, the shimmy goes away.

I got rid of those tires long ago..
After the first encounter of the rain grooves and those tires going squirrelly ..

No shimmy at 60 but I do get one when I first start moving. I'm guessing the infamous warped rotors or wheels need balanced. I should be getting new wheels this weekend so I'll see if it still doing it.

Check your lugnut torque...When I did my springs and removed my wheels I noticed that the lugnuts were on barely above hand tight
