The HHR can be considered a truck, SUV or station wagon. I think for meeting CAFE standards GM classified it as a truck as was done by Chrysler for the PT Cruiser. If the HHR is used for business, its a truck. I would expect that the HHR panel is a truck.

My registration in Michigan says station wagon and I have a panel.

My registration in NY says that I have a surburban. This is how they classify SUVs and station wagons here.

I was told when I bought my first HHR that it was considered an SUV?? I used to have a full size ford bronco way back when and they considered it as a station wagon, so I think it probably just depends on where you live.

Does the HHR share a chassis with the Cobalt?

Mine just says wagon. Truth be told though, it is pretty hard to describe the HHR if someone has never seen it.

My registration in Georgia says HHR.

In michigan they consider it a station Wagon.. but they also consider a $67K Cadillac Escalade a station Wagon
