Snow?

Has anyone been driving their HHR in the snow? Were about to get our first shot at a few inches, just wondering what to expect.

I've been driving in snow lots last year and this year. I have snow tires on and it drives very good. We just got 8 inches of snow yesterday and I can go anywhere I want or need to go.
Last year i had the stock tires on and it was still good to drive

Driving in snow is as different as a driver with a car. It wll depend on you. The HHR is not a light vehicle, so I would imagine it should do pretty well. Tires are the big thing on the vehicle, the driver makes up for the rest.

Sticks to me are better than auto's in the snow. I also prefer RWD verses FWD in the snow.

HHR goes great in the snow here in Colorado. I've got stock tires and haven't had any problems here.

We're getting the rain part of the storm now in St. Louis. Not going to be fun! I'm thinking since the HHR is front wheel drive and is on the heavy side, it should do okay though.

BTW, make sure you check out the Mid-Central region threads HERE

And the thread on the Shindig in Shell Knob HERE

The storm that went through here is probably the one you will be getting. Here's a picture I took of "Smoke" from one of the windows of my house.

BTW...it's a whopping 5 degrees here right now.

I think Smoke needs a house, nice and warm here in Tampa.
I could use another SOM.
1) 2.4 auto Orange Bomb
1)2.2 5-speed Smoke
Bad thing is neither have a Sun Roof.
Oh well!!!!!!

I'm sure Smoke would agree with you Karen. It's pretty darn cold out there...but we've got a heat wave coming on...gonna be in the mid 30's the next 4 or 5 days.
