Cool splash gaurds

Just picked up HHR today. Very cool vehicle. Any input on splash gaurds? Looks like Chevy has 2 types (Flat and moulded) Would like to add a set to my HHR. Looks like a pretty easy install. Anyone here done the install? Where's the cheapest place to get them in the Detroit metro area?
Thanks for any response. By the way thanks for all the responses to an earlier post on the bumper guard

Welcome back fellow musician! (glad we could all help ya out on that other post)

Just for reference, I have the molded factory HHR logo splash guards (w/running boards) which IMHO makes for a great combo. Mine were already installed when I bought my HHR so I can't help ya out on the install procedure.

Take care, JD

I bought mine through the dealer, they were not expensive at all, if I remember correctly they were like $25, they also installed them...

They have two types of molded splash guards that have either the Chevy Bowtie, or also some that have HHR in all black. I bought the latter of the two from the dealer. I really couldn't find any inexpensive ones online They were pretty much $35 for each pair. So figured I'd just buy them at the dealer and save myself shipping. They are very easy to install. I'm not exactly handy with tools, but it only took me about 30 -35 minutes to install. The instructions were pretty precise.

I like the ones that says HHR. But If I bought them I would have to paint them to match.

The bowtie ones aren't molded, they are flat. I have the molded HHR ones BTW.

I do want to paint mine eventually, but they'll have to do as is for now.

Painting Splash Guards

We already went through this paint deal once. If you paint them, the paint will need an additive to make it more flexible. You may have to rough up the surface too to get the paint to stick to it.
