Sport or Touring
Drove a 2.4 L HHR 2LT with the sport suspension and I drove a 2.2 L HHR 1LT with the touring suspension, and drove another 2.4 L HHR 2LT with the sport suspension and for us the touring suspension gives us the ride we prefer with the all seasons factory standard 16” wheels and tires.
What surprised me was that I thought we wanted the 2.4 L with more horsepower, however we found the 2.2 L with less horsepower was more responsive and peppier. Maybe a better description is as I depressed the gas pedal of the 2.4 I felt a hesitation before acceleration, kind of like it was bogging down a little. I did not feel that same hesitation in the 2.2. Pat said she felt the same thing about the 2.4 as a driver and a passenger.

Now can someone with a 2LT chime in that has hauled a full load with their opinion.

Add the anti-sway bar and the touring suspension is very good. I loaded mine to the roof taking my son to college. We then put his bicycle on the back and there was no difference in the ride during 300-mile trip. It's not like the old Chrysler minivans with the rear end dragging if you put anything in it.
Personally, I don't want a 2LT if it means spending 20 cents more per gallon.

I have hauled 24 full cases of bananas in my 2LT with the sport suspension. Wasn't agile and wouldn't do it again but overall it got the job done
