Starter issues

I replaced the 3rd starter less than a month ago. I have my HHR LT2 with the 2.4l for 3 years now.
I'm a Pizza delivery driver, take care of my vehicle like a baby.
Went to go get some stuff for work and I noticed my wipers were going really slow to clear my windshield. My traction control was going off, my power steering stopped working, the abs light was on, my airbag light was going off.
When i got to the store, it just died. Tried restarting it, and all it would do is go click click click. Tried the factory remote start, and it would just click continuesly until I put the key into the ignition and tried starting it.
Nephew says that the solenoid was trying to ingage, but not connecting.
Any ideas why my HHR is acting like this? Got the starter from Autozone.

Has the alternator ever been checked?

That could be caused by a bad alternator or wire to it from the starter.

Symptoms of a dead cell in the battery, even new ones straight off the shelf can have this problem, if it’s new take it back! And check your connections to the starter are they tight?

My guess is the battery is not getting adequate charging or is poorly connected. First, test the battery; remove it, charging it, check it for self-discharge overnight, and have it load tested. (Even new batteries can be defective due to manufacturing defect or damage due to impact.) Then clean and carefully reconnect the terminals. If that doesn’t do it, get the alternator tested.

Probably, they might have either fixed the issue or parked the HHR.
