Strange noise from A/C vents

Okay, this is odd. We've had the HHR for exactly two years tomorrow. Yesterday we drove down to LA and on the way home I noticed something that sounded like a waterfall coming from the A/C vents. After listening more, I realized that it only does it when I am accelerating. I started changing settings to try to get an idea of what was causing it. The strangest thing is that it even does it with the A/C turned off.

Anyone ever noticed anything like this in your HHR? I'm not losing water. Could I have possibly been driving this thing for two years and never noticed this?

Another cause might be that you are low on coolant and it is coming from the Heater Core,

Thanks ChevyMgr. I've got to go in for the air bag recall anyway so I will have them check it. Coolant is not low so I am assuming the other.

Do you notice water dripping under car when running A/C? If not maybe A/C drains are plugged up. This is common to many cars and you will hear the water collecting in hvac case moving around.
