The Vette in the 7.0 LS7 V8 with six-speed manual transmission = 16/26 MPG and has 505 HP.
On my HHR, I am averaging 25.8 MPG on my freeway commute

the reason why the z06 gets such good hiway mileage is the 6-speed.
At 65 mph in 6th, the LSx motors (like mine, the LS1) get great mileage. only thing is, who drives 65 when everyone is whizzing by you at 85?
