I judge a lot of car shows and it kills us the crap people put around cars at shows.

It is amazing how so many think we as judges care about non car related detail.

For me these dolls just get in the way of looking at a car or in some cases we have found hidden damaged behind them LOL!

If you want to impress a judge at a show clean the underside of your vehicle and put a mirror under it for us to see it with out getting down under the car. Most of us have bad knee's.

Another thing that gets in the way are old trophys. We don't care what you have won just how well detailed what you brought today.

The only prop that really got our attention but not the award was a Spam Animal. Someone took the hind end of a deer and made a face out of it. I will let you guess the nose and mouth location. It was mounted on a placard and stated it was from WV. Now that was funny!

I have one national event I attend and we are not permitted sign boards mirrors or anything other than the car.

I do like sign boards that point out features of cars that we may miss in judging. Well done boards are very nice additions. It helps save us time as we do not like to speak to owners much as some can hold you up and delay the show. We like people but we are always needing to keep moving to get to your awards on time. I hate late awards.

I have only judged a couple shows where the display counts for much. They are only looking at the car and the things related to the car like turn tables, lights, carpet etc.

I have never has to include unrelated props as part of a cars score.

At least that is how it goes in Ohio.

I even have one show that stated we do not judge toys on the score sheet.

I did have one show the guy lined up a lot of awards and one was a bowling trophy! LOL I don't think he even ment it as a joke.
