Trailer wiring

My HHR has a receiver hitch installed, don't know if factory or not but where would the wiring/plug be and/or is there any trailer wiring kits for the HHRs? I am thinking to get a small trailer to haul my mower, but noting came up in the search?

There were no factory trailer hitches (towing package) offered for the HHR's. It's an aftermarket hitch.

If there is a connector, it would be near the hitch. There may not be one, many people install one for a bike rack or the like.

Yes, I was thinking a cargo carrier was used. Just wondering if there was a plug n play trailer wiring kit for these? I can always just buy a universal kit at Harbour Freight or Northern Tools.

Thanks, Ive used Curt before on my jeep , nice plug n play, clean hook up. Why its $60 on Rockauto? $20 elsewhere. Much rather do that than splice into wires.

If I were to wire for a trailer I would splice into the lights and hide the bundle behind one of the tail light access doors. One of them has both turn signal wires, right maybe.

when I did my jeep, the plugs just connect inline with original plugs/sockets, you just route the wires behind the plastics use a drain plug or make a hole if needed to feed the wires through and done. I bought a bracket for the 4 plug outlet and mounted on the hitch for a clean install which should be the same for this. You never have to cut your factory harness which I like 100%.

I was pointing out where to look for a trailer harness if there is one. That is also where you would plug the adapter in. Or do you intend on running wires from the engine compartment?

He's asking if there are plug 'n' play adapters available for this. If there are, I've never seen it discussed here. You could try Google.
