Transmission in l

So while the front end is all ripped off and taking apart and doing a tranny fluid dump with filter replacement.. Just wondering how many of you have added a tranny cooler and how have yall liked it?

Ive added coolers to our towing trucks and efans, but never thought about adding on to the HHR...

Yes i searched, im reading the one thread now, but its dead and old, just trying to get some feed back.. We do a lot of in city driving, lots of stop and go; only reason im thinking about it.

I thought about it, and decided not worth the effort, but I don’t tow.

figured it cant be to hard, tie into the line that is returning to the transmission from the radiator and get a small to med eBay cooler and radiator tie it in.. but right now i have tons of access; front bumper and everything is completely off and laying to the side.. Plus figured if im already dropping the fluid (300k miles, pretty sure all stock crap).. Just didnt know if there was a huge difference with one?

That's the link I tagged as well.
Its the lower line if I did my research right.
I'm not sure if I'm in full commitment yet, but if I do, I'll take pics. May even install temp gauge...

Be sure the hoses are not rubbing on anything, or wrap them with another piece of hose at points where it is possible.

Don't over tighten screw type hose clamps, best to flare the pipes.

An adapter comes with the kit, you just have to figure out how to use it, so you don't have to cut the OE line.
