turn signal bulb replacement

is there any special instructions for replacing rear turn signal bulb on 2011 hhrlt1.thanks in advance. leonard

Nope, it is well covered in the Owners Manual which is downloadable via a link documented here if you don't already have one.

whopper I cant disconnect the wires from the the bulb there seems to be a clip holding wires I'm afraid I will breake it off,if I do how can I secure it on? thanks in advance.

Len just reach in grab the bulb holder and rotate it to the left as if you were unscrewing a bolt. It will turn about a 1/4 turn and the bulb and socket come right out.

There are no wires to disconnect. Remove dead bulb, insert new bulb, push back in same position and then rotate to the right and it will lock in.

never mind whopper,i got the wires and socket off and replaced the bulb,i used a pair of long nose plyers to separate the wires from the light bulb socket.

Well, I am confused (but that is pretty normal. :)..) - not sure why pliers were needed, as no tools are needed at all to change the tail light bulbs.

Well folks. Here's a video for those that need it.
Only reason I could see for needing pliers is if the glass bulb was shattered.
A FYI. Always a good practice to NOT touch the glass part of any automotive bulb with a bare hand. At the least, wipe the bulb glass clean with an alcohol prep before completing the installation.

My left rear needed pliers used as well
and its a 2011 2LT similiar to the O P
