Under Hood Light Installed

I finally got tired of chasing after a flashlight every time I needed to check something under the hood, and being as how GM "forgot" to install an under the hood light on my car.......Viola....

The nice thing about this light is the bulb is detachable, and has 20 ft. of extension cord. The bulb also has a suction cup or a magnet to use so you can mount it to any surface on the vehicle. Another nice feature is the on/off switch. Easy 2 wire hookup (12v from battery and ground). Although I wired mine to an extra hood pin switch from an old alarm install, so when you pop the hood the light automatically comes on and when you close the hood the light goes off. But if you are at a show or need to leave to hood open for an extended period of time, you can just switch the light to the off position on the switch and save your battery power. These are actually OEM on 93-98Grand Cherokees.

Mounts very well on the core support....

The wiring and pin switch.....I also used wire looms to create the factory look..

In operation......

Regards.............
