Perry, doing up your car to personalize it is just that, it's personal and making suggestions will vary from one person to the next. My suggestion is to continue what your doing now. Read what others have done or are doing to theirs and pick out what you like and do it. Like you I like the factory wheels just fine, but one day I'll replace them once I find something that say's to me..."Here we are, we'll make your HHR stand out". But even without doing all the high dollar mods there are tons of little mods you can do on a budget. Oh yeah, don't forget to read everyone's signatures. Many of the mods are there in their signatures.

Go for chrome wheels

Check out the selection and pricing at pep boys - I searched for 60 days for the right set of wheels - they were all expensive - stopped into pep boys 2 days before delivery of my hhr and saw a set that was 90% of the design i was looking for and made the purchase - cost of wheels, tax and installation with balancing was just under $550.00.
Click on the camera to the left and see the mods.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to keep searching for a nice set of rims for now. I'm probably going to get my front windows tinted soon; being relatively inexpensive at $130 for the high-quality 3M. I forget what % the woman at the shop recommended, but I know it was illegal. May have been 20%.

Wow...that sounds awful pricey to me. I had mine done with the same stuff here in Denver from one of the best tint shops in town and they only charged me $60.

$130 for just the fronts is very expensive. I had 5 windows on my QuadCab Ram tinted plus a 6" strip on the windshield for $130.

$130 for two windows is way high!
