Precise and clean! Nice to hear it runs, any sound clips?
Or are you waiting for that first burnout!

Craig posted a YouTube video. If you search One NASTY Chevy HHR Panel you will find it. If someone can link it here I'd appreciate it.

I'm excited to see this. I know there's a lot more to do, but I can appreciate this milestone in this long journey with so many hours and long days spent working. I hope the best for the rest of this build

Driveshaft Complete

I picked up my new driveshaft from Inland Driveline yesterday. They sell thru Summit Racing but they are only 12 miles from where I work so I just went there and ordered it.. it's rated for +650 hp so it will be as strong as the rest of the driveline. I'll install it this weekend.

That video actually IS with the cutouts open. O won't go into some of the deep details with respect to the previous "shop" that worked on the HHR with/for Cliff but they did him no favors for what a fantastic person he is!! I will say that I did not like running the car with the exhaust going through the mufflers while I was dialing in the idle tuning, airflow, and fuel. The prior shop had routed the brake lines and air ride lines practically touching the mufflers. Among other things i also reworked the "down pipes" to add in a much needed braided stainless flex sections and I tried to get the pipes lower and away from touching the body and frame.
To protect the floor boards from the nuclear reactor hot catalytic converters I used some DEi floor and tunnel shield. It came out looking Sharp still. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a clean underpan in order to keep the car from burning to the ground 😉
I will post some pictures... Have to switch to the phone app!

Update

I’m still working on the new 9” rear end install. Changing it has been more work than the original install of the Camaro unit. I’m having problems with the trailing arms binding when the air suspension fully cycles. My next item is to change the forward brackets on the trailing arms. Once I get the binding problems fixed I need to re-do the rear brake lines to mount to the Wilwood brakes. Same old story; change one thing and it effects 10 others.
