Much A-Due About Nothing

As you recall almost a month ago I started on the exhaust cut-out on the right side of the rear bumper. I wanted it to look like it came from the factory with the matching lip as well as shape as the factory single cut-out. Well, after more hours than I care to think about, I have it in primer ready for paint. This is something that nobody will even notice but I guess I will.

Looks awesome! What did you use to cut the hole? I'd like to do the same to my LT bumper.

I used a 4" pneumatic cut-off wheel to rough it out and an air grinder to get the final shape. An LT bumper would be easier than an SS because it doesn't have the lower lip on it. It is a smooth radius. The trick part is using the 3M plastic bumper adhesive to stick the parts together

FabricatorsTip:
Go to Costco and get the 40 " x 40" cardboard that they put between the rolls of paper towels on the pallets. It makes great lay-out material. And its free.

Old Blue

We are tied for Car Crazy. I have had 76 car/trucks/vans/wagons/convertibles in my lifetime. Still have auto titles going back to the '60s.

What If ????

This is completely off the table because its just not gonna happen but everyday I look across the garage and see a project car I have been building for about 8 years (that will most likely never be completed) and wonder what this 871 would look like on the V8 Panel. It would certainly take the car out of the "sleeper" category.
