What in the heck are those two velcro straps for. Mine were in the car sealed in a plastic bag. I am really puzzled!:confused: :confused: :confused:

I think they are used to tie up the cargo net when you are not using it..

Or the rear carpeted floor mat, if you load and carry something that would soil/damage the carpet.

There is velcro for holding rolling up cargo carpet (which I never found her in CA on a 06 and there is velcro with the spare tire and jack to secure a flat tire in the cargo area.

Did you say that velcro is strong enough to hold a spare tire in place in the cargo area ?
Must be a BIG piece.
The straps are for rolling the mat up, as stated before...

The velcro is used on the rolled up carpet when you move the floor panel to the upper level to be used as a shelf.

I have an 06 and the strap was there. I didn't realize it until I was doing the speakers and sub. I pulled out the spare tire while I was pulling out the rear panels and it was hidden under the spare. So if you have an 06 and can't find it you might want to check under your spare tire. I don't know if that is where it is on all 06 models but I know that's where I found mine.
