waiting to hear from the dealer

Well I took my 2007 LT1 to my local mechanic and checked the ecm code. It said it was running lean..what ever that means. He suggested I take it to the dealer because it would of taken him all day to drill down and find out what's really wrong with the car. I'm nervous it's going to be expensive since I have 108,000 mile on my little wagon and the warranty is gone. I noticed it shifted hard from 1st to 2nd and then it would smooth out. I have a auto transmission so I imagine it could be anything. If anyone here has had something similar please chime in with some advise.

Thanks in advance.

if you have a lean code you may need a fuel pump. unfortunately thay are not cheap.

BeanWagon-

"It said it was running lean..what ever that means."

It means your motor is getting less gas than necessary in relation to the Air it inhales. This needs to be a proper mix, as the motors run so clean anyway.

Lean can also equate to excess heat in the motor, not good. Needs fixed.

I think I got a lean code once or twice when I needed to replace the int and exh sensors under the intake on the passenger side of the motor. Had the hard shifting as well. Have you had the traction control light come on?

they called last night and told me I needed new spark plugs and the injectors weren't 100% so they wanted to clean those. The throttle body was also dirty. I had them do the plugs and injector service for $270 and I'll clean the throttle body later on tonight. I'm glad it wasn't something more serious.

R CA HHR..the traction light never came on.

Sleeper...I guess the injectors was causing the " running lean" code.

Well I'm looking forward to picking up my car and maybe getting some extra MPG now.

Thanks again everyone :chevyhhrnetro cks::

Dirty injector(s) will certainly do it !! Glad you got it hooked-up !!!!
The throttle body is easy to clean, but I think you already know this..

Every once in a while I like to run injector cleaner in just to help prevent this. Figure it's cheap insurance. Glad you got it figured out though!
