Hello everybody. I would like to ask for anyone who has put many miles on their HHR, if any problems have come up other then their typical wear and tear items (brakes, oil change, air filter, etc). For example "at 60,000 miles had to change sensor XXX" or my car broke down and left me stranded at xx,xxx miles and the problem was part xxx.

I have had my HHR for about 27 (27000 miles) months without a single problem, and i plan to keep this car for a real long time and possibly take her out on a road trip next year, just wanted to know any problems that users have had...i have an 07 Lt with the 2.2

 

Nothing major, and not really high miles, but at about 34k I had the shift control module replaced because the key would stick in the ignition, and at about 36k I had the front struts replaced because they were leaking.

Like I said, nothing major, and not really high mileage, but still something you shouldn't really have to replace just yet...

 

My '06 had 59k when i traded it in, No problems at all

 

My '08 has 36k on it and I just got back from a trip to Southern California and I live in NE Texas. Other than routine things, I haven't had anything wrong at all

 

i've got an '06 with almost 70k, and no major wear and tear, besides the carpet and warped rotors. Collisions / Accidents: i did have to replace the passenger hub and bearing assembly, and rack and pinion ( stupid room mate smashed into and twisted my wheel while flying into the driveway with his POS ). i do drive the hell out of my ride, and it's held up quite nicely.

 

Yes it's true. 100K miles. I drive a lot every day. I service printers and copy machine in a metro area. I use this car as a work car. I have had no major problems. Just the things that go bad. Like tires shocks and breaks. I do have a sunroof problem. But it still works. The wind deflector broke on the frame. At 60K. To replace it was going to be $700.00 I just took out the deflector and use the sunroof with the back windows cracked about 1" down. Works fine. I have lots of chips on my car by the back doors. I never got the mud flaps. I think running boards would have help too. I have had check engine light on a few times. At 80K. Just replaced fuel cap. That seam to fix it. I will do a tune up soon. My gas I get about 23-25 MPG city driving most of the time. I use the AC most of the time, Winter for defrosting and summer to cool off. And I am on the phone so I need no road noise. I purchased the car used in 2007 April. 27K miles at that time. My dealer does life time oil change at no charge. SO KOOL.

63k nothing a few little things when new, has been a great car for the rest of the miles.

i have had my 2007 fall edition.. 36,842 miles......
problems: rotors 2 times.... they only would turn them
black chrome, wheels all 4 been replaced, handlesall 4 been replaced, grill
head liner 4 times.. still rattles

other than the above items.... not bad of a car....

 

My '06 has about 67K mi. I did have to replace the right front strut for leaking (covered under warranty) and just had to have the right side hub and bearing assy replaced. Other than that very happy with my HHR.
