I used the bucket a lot myself.. I was able to save some of my stuff. But not all. But have learned from that, & also have new host, plus I have my stuff backed up as well.

Radco, we’ve had that dish, nice and spicey

FMG, you take care! Batten down the hatches and all that!

We got the valves replaced and the head torqued down, reset the balance shaft chain and reinstalled the timing chain.

Used tywraps to hold the links in place! Intake dide

Exhaust side!

Ensured the timing chain was in the correct place , then installed the tensioner and gave it a smack to engage it, That took up all chain slack!

Intake balance gear in place

Exhaust balance shaft gear also aligned

Balance shaft crankshaft gear aligned with the coloursed link.

8 intake and 8 exhaust valves, scrapped out, and the valve guide seals

Used this handy tool to compress the valve springs then remove the valve keepers Then installed new seals and valves and used the tool again to reinstall the keepers

New valves, no gaps

Another cylinder

And another

Good thing there’s only four, eh?

Blue- Cool, but did you 'lap in' each new valve ? It is an important step. Just looking is not enough.

And no de-carboning the combustion chambers.. Wow !!! Very surprised.

Sleeper, The valves weren’t lapped during original assembly, and the carbon is cleaned off with brake cleaner spray, we just didn’t polish the head surface. It’s a 13 year old DD , it’ll be just fine!

Today a trip to take Hudson to school, then stop by the phone store, time for new IPhones, an XR most likely, not the new 12
