Today is rest and relax day, finish the Christmas lights these HF trim pliers are excellent for pulling dead lights out of the string of LED bulbs
and then a cruise out somewhere, we’re in an area where the lock down city folks come to as their area have closed the restaurants. I think as a precaution, we’ll take our own coffee thermos!!!
Dropped my HHR off at the garage today ! The check engine light came on . Runs fine ! But the time frame worked out as I had light vibration in the front so going to have him check / balance the tires. Fingers crossed it is a cheap fix lol.. yes I could have gone to O Reily's or Auto Zone to check the codes but either way it was going to the shop !And He is a mechanic I can trust ! We filled 15 vans a week at his station for years ! And if a $50.00 part breaks he put in a $50.00 part with out adding more zeros to it lol Nest he will put the E Brake pads in on my RAM truck ! The engineers easy fix to doing it is pull the rear axle to get to the bolts :O it is a royal pain . I never use the E brake and heard that lack of use also cause deterioration :O So I will use it on the HHR and Truck once in awhile !
You all have a great evening
Drove to Advance Auto to dump my used oil from the oil changes I just completed. Then grabbed a gyro, for lunch..
I drop mine off at AutoZone (nearest place to me). Funny thing is you have to leave a phone # with them when dropping off used oil.
Last time I did that, got an email from them 2 months later saying "Thank You for your recent oil purchase at AutoZone".
Now, I've never bought any oil from AZ. Ever. I guess their high tech computer system figured since I dropped off used oil I MUST have purchased new oil from them ? Go figure......
LOL, That's a good one FMG. Interesting you have to leave a ph #.
We have Advance, then just across the road is Auto Zone & next street is O'Reilleys.. I love healthy competition.
Napa is just a lil further away. A gear-heads dream. All not more than 6 miles from the house.
I like Advance, we used to be required to sign the log sheet & enter what type oil, by their collection oil tank. Seems that policy been lost with time, can't remember last time I had to sign in.
Clip board is still there with paper & mostly stained from oil.. My Can always has a few different brands of oils in it..But I always dispose of it properly..
