Pulled the plugs from the LS for inspection, appear to be the original factory plugs.

Hard to see, but two of the center electrodes are showing wear, new plugs & coil packs incoming, should be here Monday. I re-gapped them back to 0.040 before putting them back in, the gaps had ranged from 0.038 to 0.043.

Swapped the Airaid air box out of the LT and into the LS.

Remainder of the day, I'm going to try to pull the Sony stereo and speakers out of the LT, to be put into the LS Monday or Tuesday.

Today we’re celebrating the 1st day of spring! The equinox is finally here! Of course it’s raining here and will be for most of the day and of course the temperature isn’t very warm, but it’s above freezing! So we will go for a drive and stop for lunch or maybe just a coffee, not setting any plans.

cruised up to Buffalo (Mn) Saturday and attended a Ham Radio fest, went home with a new radio and $700 less in my pocket. Friday we replaced water softener that went crazy, Sunday we fixed the dishwasher parts that caused a flood across the kitchen floor on Wednesday. Been Busy. Happily no reports of car problems!!

Swapped VVT Solenoids out of the LT to the LS. Trouble code was only for exhaust side, but figured I'd check both. Intake side was a Dorman Solenoid, exhaust side appears to be AC Delco. Was getting Ohm readings around 25 to 30 on the exhaust Solenoid, definitely out of spec. Intake side was dirty with what looks like carbon chunks on part of it.

Also adjusted rear brakes / parking brake. Drums look practically brand new, and internal diameter is exactly 9.000 inches, with virtually no wear other than a single line on the passenger side drum. Although I could see the line, my fingernail would not catch on it. All 4 shoes have similar wear with about 0.190" pad +/- 1 0.005" near top, and about 0.120" pad +/- 0.010" near bottom.

Today I will change summer tires , I ordered new ones a couple of weeks ago, I got one changed yesterday, I have to take my time , I’ll balance them next week. There’s snow in the forecast, so I’ll wait to swap out tge winter tires after that. Maybe the 15th or so.

It's A Sad Day...

I decided to sell my HHR LT Panel...I've had it since Sept. 2015 but I guess it's time to part with it. I have it listed on here in Market Place and on AutoTrader.
