What is the stupidest design error?
the power window buttons should have been at the top of the waterfall, where the dimmer is. the extreme wind buffeting with the rear windows down is the worst. the pressure spikes hurt our ears.
I think it is a toss up between replacing the headlamps and the window switches. I have owned my '07 for over a year now and still reach to the door to open the windows.
Wont give mine up for anything though! love the looks i get in it!
I believe I would vote for the top 3 being the headlight bulb replacement, the lack of a keyhole to manually open the hatch and did not know about the spare not fitting on the front (now that is lobotomy stupid)
As far as the battery location itself, being someone who has been dealing with VRLAs and flooded cells for years, this location will surely promote the longevity, because it is not subject to the rigors of high under hood temps and rapid temp changes. I wish all my vehicles had the starting batteries away from the heat of the engine compartment.
This is an SS-only issue, but the fact that the GM Stage 1 kit is so unreliable, takes a Flight-qualified soldering tech to install, all because GM was too cheap to install connectors to make it plug-and-play. What a total rip-off!
Whole heartedly agree about no manual key latch for the rear hatch, especially if the battery goes dead. This is a monumental blooper and should go down in automotive blunder history with the Edsel.
