The Equinox is going to remain pretty much stock as it is. All I have added is the red pinstripe and side moldings.. the HHR is my Toy.

Had those stripes on my 70 Chevelle SS (factory) and when I did my 69 Camaro SS over (non factory) had them too.
They do make a statement.

I’m well aware of the decline of the automotive industry here in Canada,
the plants are closing , Ford just announced cut backs on production.
My next door neighbour was in financial trouble when the plant I worked at closed ,
he worked for GM but he drove a Lexus , he had joked , he knew the guys that build GM’s
my view was and still is buy what you want, listen to Sheryl Crow, If it makes you Happy it can’t be that bad.
and that other saying if you make a product, show your pride in your work , buy what you build.
When I lived in Michigan back in the 1990's if you worked at gm and drove a non gm car you had to park in the back of the lot. The front spaces were for gm owners only lol. It was sad watching nafta slowly strangle the American auto parts supply industry. I watched it all fall apart in 18 short years.
Knowing what I know now id buy another hhr in somewhat questionable condition if the motor and trans were solid. I see them regularly on buy here pay here lots for around $2k so I know they must be going cheap at the auctions. I paid $3k for mine and once I replace the motor/trans mounts and fix a couple frontend clunks ill have a pretty solid car for under $5k.

I was interested to read this. Not to replace Red (it’s my business sled with low miles) but to replace 2 other vehicles with low miles. Don’t need my diesel dually anymore and it could be a good trade for an Equinox. Now that I’m older and wiser, why do I have 6 vehicles tagged and insured? Lol....

Sell the big diesel dually and build an hhr diesel dually. There, solved that problem
