whats your actual city gas mileage

whats your actual city gas mileage?

My wifes HHR says only 13.2 mpg on the dash

Does this get better with break-in?

Almost all my driving is around town and I never reset it.On weekends I'm on the highway for 45 miles too and from my destination and then just around the area while I'm there. I average 22.1 mpg. 2.4 2LT Auto with 4700 miles on it.
Tell her to stop standing on the go pedal.

Please don't take offense..but sounds like she's heavy into the pedal. Maybe it'll get better with breakin? dunno. Light pedal from a stop and smooth throttle control gets the better mileage.

I found the readings to be inconsistent after driving only a few miles after resetting the econ display. After more miles driven for example say 40 miles the reading tends to be more consistent.

Others are getter mileage some in the low 20's so they claim. I'm getting 18.6-19 MPG on premium (better than regular=17.5-18) w/ a 2.4L + auto. This is on a 4 mile one way commute with an average of 6 stoplights (up to 12). It'll all varies depending on your driving style.

With about 350 miles on my 2007 2LT the DIC has been pretty steady at 19.4. This is just about all "around town" driving. Only had it on a real highway for about 60 miles the day I got the car.

I am getting much more than any I have seen so far. I went out to the car and took a photo and it's higher than I thought....and I have a CGS that I show no mercy with too. I use my HHR for city driving and on occasion on the highway, but not on a daily basis. My HHR is 2.2L with a 5spd also.

My DIC says 26, but my daughter (the family genius) figures it to be 23.5 She's pretty darned smart so I'll go with her math
