Wheel Speed Sensor

So I just bought a “new to me” HHR. 2006 LT2 I do believe. Fully loaded. I did a lot of reading about the car before I bought it, which lead me here. I read about the wheel speed sensor. I went to pick it up today and after driving around running some errands, I was on my way home from my last stop. 2 miles away from my house. All of a sudden the power door locks kept unlocking and locking while I was driving it. Then I lost acceleration and my RPM’s went up but no acceleration until I let off the gas and then I could accelerate again. Limped it home. Noticed my Traction Control light was on and the ABS light. It didn’t have that when I tested it yesterday. I went back to the dealer, who I trust very much. I know him from buying other vehicles. It threw a left front wheel speed sensor code AND a transmission control module code. The shifting solenoids were recently replace before I bought it. My question is I’ve read where the wheel speed sensor can make that happen, so would this be a quick fix by replacing the sensor/hub? The dealer is covering the cost but I just want to make sure I’m not going to possibly have any other issues with that particular issue? Has anyone had those exact problems before?

Im not sure what the number codes are throwing exactly. It said Transmission Control Module and Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor. I talked to the mechanic yesterday when we dropped it off. He seemed to think I was a moron until I pulled up info about it. But then he said that none of those problems would make it do that. He said it could be the wheel speed sensor after talking for a while. I don’t know if he said that to shut me up or what. lol

Get the codes. The wheel speed sensors are not your problem.
My guesses are either the timing chain and/or the under hood fuse box needs tightening.

Any of the big box parts stores will read them for free. Ignore whatever words they give only the numbers.

I just heard back. They replaced the wheel hub and that took care of the ABS light issues. My dealer is taking it back to the wholesaler he bought it from to replace the shifting solenoids.

This will be a saga. A bad wheel speed sensor shouldn't freak out the door locks, but a short in the sensor wires might. But I doubt it.

I gotcha. I appreciate the help. As soon as I hear back from my dealer I’ll post an update.

Are you aware of the gear selector extended warranty? It might have run out.
There is absolutely no connection between the wheel sensors and the door locks. I hope somebody has looked at the fuse box bolts as suggested in #4.

Depending what the tranny is doing to send it into limp mode. Need the code. ABS is not the problem.

So the fuse box bolts can cause issues with door locks? The box itself that holds the fuses gets loose? And that causes whacky things to happen I’m guessing.
