Who else bought an HHR to haul drums?

It seems like I see quite a few members on here posting about drums...

The HHR was on my short list alongside a few other sporty "wagons" (WRX, Mazdaspeed3). I was shopping specifically for wagons because I, like at least a handful of 'you', play the drums.

I was pretty tired of loading gear into and out of my 17 year old Toyota Tercel 2 door.

It seems the HHR SS is the perfect drum hauler. Lots of room for gear, low load-in height, and it's fast so you'll never be late for gigs!

Post up some kit pics!

Double Bass and a few cellos occasionally.

The only thing I don't like is the lack of rear bumper protector. Mine got scratched up the 2nd week I had it from a violin case falling out. I'm still working on a solution that both looks great and covers the rear deck.

My drummer friend bought a Cooper S for his ride.

Bass guitar

With EV1 2 15" PA speakers. It is a tight fit but I like this style since the PT Cruiser came out in 01.

Yamaha Maple Customs!

One of my main reasons for buying.

I don't play the drums but I've had a set in mine quite a few times. Mine's usually loaded down with this or a Carvin 4x10 cab instead of the Kustom

I bet that makes sounds that tickle the prostate.

I used to rock ^that^ with this pedal setup:

But now I'm playing something more along the lines of a 4 piece... setting up all that gear SUCKS after a while, but it was sort of necessary for that project.

Here is a pic of my 67 Ludwigs. I play it as a 4 piece kit and think that sucks to drag around. Depending on the gig, I usually just bring the bass, snare, hi hats and a ride. It gets me by for an old honky tonk band. Ever since I knew the HHR came in SS trim, I wanted one for the reason of hauling my drums and having something fun to drive.
