There's lots of billet grilles out there for the HHR, I'm finding out.
All of them are very nice...
But I saw one the other day, forgot where, it was really cool and had the word "CHEVROLET" embossed into the upper frame. Very cool and retro.
Anybody have one or have a link or can post a pic of it?

I have a vinyl decal on mine...but it's not a billett grille.



I am also going to be getting a grille like this and will be putting the same decal on the bowtie when it arrives. Not going to be doing the top ones though...at least not for now. Mine will also be bright chrome in lieu of satin.

 

no it's none of those, but it's a combo of this one's top...


and this one's skinny grille bars...

in fact it's identical to the blue car's grille above but has the CHEVROLET embossed into that top blank chrome part.

I'd guess then that someone bought the lower example and added the script to it.

 

Other than the factory grill, any HHR grill that has any emblems/script on it, the emblem/script has been added to it. If your looking to do that, you need to start with a Carriage Works of Stull grill (I believe they are the only ones that have the upper frame to be able to put emblem/script).

 

well I guess that's what I saw... but it looked so good i thought it was a commercially available one.

 

Here you go...this is probably what you saw. It dawned on me that I did a tag for dan-d and I had to search to find a larger photo.
