ANother reason to not trade in. Plus they can't offer more, then buyers would just buy new.

Why does everyone keep saying the HHR isn't selling well? Are there any stats to back that up? I mean it's a relative question , right? What are it's sales compared to similiar style and priced cars?

I guess I just judge by what I see on dealer lots. IMO, when the new model year is beginning and there are a butt-load of 07's still on the lot, there is a sales issue. Mind you, this may be across the line slow sales, but what can YOU show that the HHR is selling well?

At best, I'd say sales were average. Which still doesn't change my point that this is econo-wagon. This type of vehicle has never had strong resale value becuase of limited appeal.

This subject just keeps going around here. Did you buy your HHR as a short term investment?

If so you have made a mistake.

If you bought it because you like it and it fits your needs while getting decent gas mileage, it is fun to drive and doesn't look like every other japanese econobox on the road you made a great decision.

Car's are terrible investments!

The depreciation value is the same between a Japanese car and American Car. Specifically Toyota vs GM.

How can I say that?

With a Toyota, you'll end up paying more because they generally sell closer to sticker price and have less rebates.

With GM, you'll end up paying closer to invoice and they have greater rebates.

So, in the end the depreciation from purchase price to trade-in price is the virtually the same between the other guys and GM.

As for Dodge, Ford, Mitsubishi, and Hyundia, they don't trade well.

I guess I won't get nothing for mine with 50,000 miles on it.
I was thinking of Trading it in for the SS but I also have a 2 LT with every thing except On Star. I guess I might be keeping mine for Life. This Sucks

Thank you for this Information
