Will these Cobalt parts fit?
While waiting for my car to be serviced at the dealer, I was reading about the Cobalt and noticed they have a special Ecotech performance exhaust manifold (not a true header but smoother pipes and better performance) and two (2) different catback systems. They dont specify which engine they are for. Any chance they would fit the HHR?

negative on the catbacks
id buy a aftermarket header before i bought a high dollar gm "manifold" as far as it fitting a few have said they have put cobalt headers on and it worked |
I already have the IMCO with a custom dual exhaust/lake pipe cutout system. I was just wondering since they share the same chassis.

There is one person on here who has installed the GMPP exhaust for the Cobalts on his HHR and it fit. I have tried my friends stock Cobalt SS/SC exhaust on mine but it was too quiet and it fit as well. The performance manifold is an extrude honed version of our STOCK cast iron manifold. May flow better but you would get more performance from a full header. Pacesetter makes one that is ceramic coated for around 250.00 that I have seen. The cobalt guys have seen really good performance from these and appearantly Pacesetter is getting better in the quality department. I have been thinking of buying they're header for my 2.2. If you want to know about some of these things check out www.ecotecforum.com It is just about the engines from older Cavaliers to the newer Ecotecs in the HHR's, Cobalts and the Canadian Pontiac G5's. Or try www.cobaltss.net its another forum EXACTLY like this one and they have a LOT of performance threads just like this one. Explaining what performance upgrades there are and what works!

I have pics in my gallery of my gmpp exhuast that fit on my cobalt, that is now on my hhr. only needed to add a new hanger because the location is different on the hhr, other than that, direct fit...
