Wind in your ear
Your pushing a "brick" through the air......this isn't a Corvette. The aerodynamics, suck, big time.
I guess I should correct the terminology "slightly". It's not necessary the aerodynamics....it's the style from about 8 inches in front of the windscreen, back.

I find the wind anoying also when driving with the windows down, and I don't roll the back windows down all the way do to the roof going into spasms and making low freguency noises like a woofer. I don't have the vents so I don't know if those lessen the effect of the wind or not...
Yes I have , know what you are talking about.....I also have sensitive ears, especially my right ear. Use cotton balls, I always have a small piece, rolled into a ball in my right ear, year round, if the A/C hits it long enough without the cotton, I get an ear ache. I always have a spare and put one in my left ear when in the SS with the windows down, also as mentioned above, opening the back windows does help. But try the cotton, it works great.
