Windsheild and rear window

Hi,

Got a question what did they make the windshield and rear window out of??? Thaey do not say safety Glass like the side windows do and the feel like Plastic... and they are easily scratched.. The previous owner must have used a metal scraper in the winter..

They are made out of glass. Check the corners and the bottom center of the windshield for small print that details the manufactures name etc..

And like any windows they can be scratched using scrapers - either metal ones, or even plastic ones when the glass is dirty.

There is a law for that! The windshield must pass Federal safety standards. All of the other glass also, but different.

Hi,

Well they are the original ones and that is one reason the rear wiper is going to be re moved. I just have to find a stainless piece to go over the wiper shaft.... Oh and I forgot to mention that my clunk is GONE!!! New sway bar busings!! Got them from summit racing (polyurethane)...

Thanks
