I hit 33.4 on a recent trip over several hundred miles of interstate through VT, NH, NY, and PA. Since hitting the 7000 mile mark I have seldom averaged under 30 mpg.

This is just one of them but there are many more. You can do a search for: Miles per Gallon

Howdy...how about cutting a new person some slack? It's not really causing any harm, ya know what I mean? Plus...if you try searching MPG using the search tool, it comes back as shown below.

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : MPG

Now...to the question at hand...I use my HHR for in-town driving and I am averaging 25mpg around town. When I made a trip to Estes Park in the mountains several weeks ago, I got around 29mpg. I'm sure if I didn't romp on it from time to time, those figures would be even higher.

At 10k, I'm lucky to be seeing 20 mpg. Over 90% of my driving is done in trips of less than 5 miles. Only on my Disney runs have I gotten over 26 mpg. (I run the TP at 80/85 mph).

Deb

I agree with you about MPG so I tried Miles per Gallon and I got a bunch of hits. I think if someone doesn't have something positive or construction to say they just don't need to respond to the question. I am on this forum for the long haul since I plan on keeping my HHR for a long time, so you are absolutley right we need to welcome questions but also explain to new members about the search feature, that yes sometimes it does not work so you try another combination of words.

I have found that my MPG is constantly going up as the miles rack up. I started at around 24MPG. At 9700 miles I am at a constant 28MPG with the 2.2 engine.
