2009 shifter recall recalled
1 Attachment(s)
I don't know why I never saw this one before.
|
You didn't have an '09 manual?
|
When did they start having a PARK position on manual shift? It is funny that it does not mention auto or standard.
|
Also doesn't say what repairs are going to be done. Only states that a clip may not be fully engaged.
So, I would assume the tech is just going to reach in there and push the clip all the way on ? Not a very well worded recall notice. |
That's my intention of satire, it's very vague!
|
I cut the repair part off.
But, on further review, I found out why I never noticed it. It was retracted in October 2009. GM Recalls Recall |
Ahhhh, that's why! Good to know!

GM Recalls Recall I was concerned about outstanding recalls on mine so I used the checker you guys put up here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gm-r...-status-50716/ So the below result means all recalls have been taken care of for me, right? Currently, there are no recalls or programs associated with your 2009 Chevrolet HHR VIN: 3GNCA23B69S516055 Results last updated: Jan 08, 2017 |
yes, but that does not mean they have not phased to your car yet, keep an eye on it. It also does not mean that special extended warranties don't still apply.
Like the power steering motor and the shift interlock. People get the 2 mixed up all the time. |
Hm.... I still have the "warning letter" about the power steering motor failing. Was that changed as well to your knowledge? I do not think it was pushed as a recall, just GM trying to look good after the ignition switch fiasco.
