Mine had had my parts and just didn't have my correct number to contact me. They said they had had them for nearly a month..

Key switch recall

Hello HHR members;
My name is Tom and I just recently purchase a 2006 HHR LT that is fully loaded and has a 2.4L engine and with only77K miles. I received a car fax with this purchase and notice there was a recall for the key switch. I called the Chevrolet dealership in my town and made an appointment for the replacement part. They said they would order the new switch and notify me when it comes in. It took about 14 days for the part to arrive at the dealership. I received the phone call then, and made an appointment. It took about three hours for them to install and recode the two new keys. I was very happy with the service and there was no cost to me...

Mine must be an extra special switch because it's been on order since July 15 and isn't in yet.

Your dealer is "screwing" with you.

Yeah. Saw an article the other day(can't remember where) that stated the supplier has completed the manufacture of all the replacement switches. Just a matter of getting them to the dealers.

A guy I work with just got a recall notice for the switch in his 2004 Malibu that said parts won't be available until late October.

2008 Ign. Switch recall?

I just purchased a used 2008 LT. Should I call my dealership, or how do I know if it has already been replaced?
Thanks

As per https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gm-r...-status-50716/ - give this link a try ---> https://recalls.gm.com/#/

or, of course you can take your VIN to the dealership, and they will check for you.
