This is true like I said, I will wait till my attitude improves on the matter, then try buick gmc caddy dealer. This one chevy dealer just has changed buildings and I recognize nobody there, and heh its a dodge jeep toyota store plus "drive baby dot com" late model clearinghouse so service departments are meh..
ive lost interest in the gift card carrot, thats not me at all in the right mindset

Whopper I was kidding with you're disclaiming statement in ? Reverse third person? I shoulda tagged it sarcasm, as the whole exchange was I reckon.

So far I haven't found any story that comes close to matching my "horror story" with a Volvo dealer from back in the 70's.

Or mine with my 1973 MGB GT! They replaced the fuel pump 4 times and the twin 6 volt batteries twice! I purchased the car new Dec 4 1973 41 years ago today all these issues happened within three months and numerous tows back to the dealership.
In April 74 when I got mine new plates I noticed a black wire bent and tucked under the rear carpet, this turned out to be a body ground which the factory thought "Let's save a bob or two and use the licence plate bolt as the ground point!
After reconnecting that ground wire I didn't have the fuel pump or battery issue again

Well, here's my report of my recall with my local dealer. John, the best desk guy at OMS Oshawa(IMHO) called and told me my parts were in. Set up my appointment. Took the HHR SS in(drove me home in their van) and 2.5 hrs later(picked me up at home) got the HHR SS...done. No problems, just straight business, no frickin' around. No pushing for extra unneeded crap (you know, for the unsuspecting sucker). This dealership has done nothing but cause me happiness. They were also the one's that installed my GMTU. You just can't get a better GM service centre. They have been around for years and they know what the customer wants...great service, no BS!

Had the recall done today, at Elliott Chevrolet in Staunton, VA. They replaced the ignition switch, lock cylinder, & two keys. Dropped it off at 10am, picked up at 1pm. No issues at all with the car before taking it in which is why I waited so long.

They're offering a $25 gift card now to entice owners to get the ignition fixed.

Had ours fixed a couple months ago, as soon as the parts were available.
Ran into a case in the spring where a suspension shop couldn't turn it off. Took it right to the dealer and they replaced the cylinder and one key (under special warranty for sticking), then replaced the cylinder again and both keys along with the switch after the recall parts came in.

Still waiting on the power steering recall parts.

I recently found out the scoop on the $25 gift card.

It only applies if you scheduled your recall service after Oct. 23, 2014 and must be completed by Dec. 31,2014. It is still taking 4-6 weeks to get the parts into the dealership, from what I read here.

My math says they are not giving many cards out.
