If the dealer said it's covered under the "letter" as you stated in your last post, then let them worry about it.
If the parts are on order, then have them give you a loaner or a rental car.

You could go to the how to section and scroll through the stickies. The fixes are there. Easy to do if you know which end of a screwdriver issue The handle.

Dealership said my car wasn't up to have a loaner while we wait for the parts. At this point I don't dare try to fix it myself. Took me over an hour to finally get the key out last night. Sure don't want to start it again and have to go through that.

Sounds like you keep asking us what to do then ignoring our suggestions.

"I don't know what to do now" seems to be a request for help. Saying it multiple times could be taken as whining.

Car can't be driven safely and reliably.
Dealer says it's "covered" but parts are on back order.
Dealers says No to loaner.

Either call the dealer back and explain the situation OR, find another dealer.

(I've seen loaners given out for less than this )

Ok thank you. Wasn't sure if I could go to a different dealer since this one ordered the part. Not trying to sound like an idiot or whine just wasn't sure what direction to go. I appreciate the help.

you are welcome! I don't believe GM wants you driving around in a questionably safe HHR.
