Wink $18 eBay Radar Detector Saves My Butt This Morning

As I was feather-footing down the freeway to work this morning before 6:00am at around 78 MPH. My gently used detector lights up like a Christmas tree, beeping it's fool head off, and there he is in the median, totally lights off. Instinctively I slammed the brakes, and must have slowed down just in time to foil his gun.

Probably the best 18 bucks you have ever spent, already paid for itself!

It's a Whistler model 1730. The manual I DL'd from them says copyright 2001 so it's a few years old anyway. Still seems to pick up everything it should. I just watched different auctions for a couple weeks and pounced on this at the right time.

I dunno why I got more tickets in my cars when I owned a radar detector, than I have not having one . . . It got stolen . . .

It was and Escort . . . located buildings with automatic doors no problem . . .

And beeped "Your F'd" when it finally found a cop . . .

I have an Escort Solo 2 that I had not used in my last vehicle an Hummer H3. Now my SS never leaves home without it and a spare set of batteries. LOL G.B.
