We picked our 09 Black SS (auto) about a month ago and took it home the night we first saw it. Love it compared to her old 06 2LT.

Hee the story gets a little long, looking over the sticker and paperwork we saw that the car had a $95 option for Double Silver Accent Stripe package.

After calling the dealer and then Chevy CS, we have a box on our couch with 8 silver stripes to do both sides of the car, the rear end of the striped has "HHR" on it.

Are these the correct stripes?

For some reason i thought they were supposed to be 2 wide over the hood stripes ala the Camaro/Mustang style

Anyone?

 

to the site! Those stripes they gave you are the same that were used on the 06 Spring Edition...don't look great on an SS IMHO, no hood/deck stripes from the factory, only aftermarket.

 

Welcome, good to have more Mass. people on here specially with the SS. I have yet to see another one on the road..........the stripe you got is correct, see if you can search this site for pics so you can see what it looks like.

 

The way the hood is two stripes over the hood would look a bit odd and be difficult to make look right on a tapered hood. It could be done but you would have to work to get it right.

The stripes you have are the option stripe for the SS. Some love them some hate em and some don't really care either way.

Few SS have them so they are not common to see.

 

Those stripes have been used on a few special editions and are now an option. I like them, haven't seen any on a SS that I can think of though.

 

My SS has those stripes.

 

Thanks for the pics, I think it looks really cool and I will have them put on mine as well as have the windows tinted. We will post pics as soon as we have it done.

 

Here's a few shot of my 08 w/ the stripe option. There's an SS at work w/ dark gray stripes, much more subtle.
