The Brembo's do come on the 09 BUT with the peformance pkge only i believe. As far as bolt ons for your 08 I'm not sure. Why don't you just wait til you need brakes and then upgrade them... That is what I plan on doing.

Shouldn't be too hard to swap in larger Brembo discs and pads IMO. I doubt they'll change the calipers.

I'm more curious about the reconfigurable performance display which supposedly goes where the auxiliary glove box is.

For '09, the Brembo brake option does include different calipers. The same calipers that come on the '08 Cobalt SS/TC. Here's a picture of an '09 HHR SS with the Brembo brake option:

Concerning the configurable performance display, it doesn't go in the auxiliary glove box, it replaces the A-pillar mounted boost gauge. Here's an excerpt from the GM 'What's New' for '09 concerning the HHR.

Quote:
New for 2009 on the SS interior is a reconfigurable performance display. It allows the driver to select from a variety of performance measurements to be recorded and displayed on an LCD screen, including 0-60 mph and quarter-mile acceleration, braking performance and cornering grip (g load). The display is located on the A-pillar.

this is from the 2009 order guides "Reconfigurable performance display located on center of IP, replaces analog boost gauge and center IP bin."
I ordered this on my 2009 Panel SS the piller gage is replaced ( looks like last minute add on to me)

Either way, I'm sure it won't be hard to get the reconfigurable performance display and brembos on an '08.
