Just in case anyone else is interested in a Superchips Cortex for a 2010 HHR SS, here is the reply I received from Superchips regarding compatibility:

Jay

I apologize but at this time we have not tested or tuned the 2010 HHR SS due to availability of vehicles in our area for testing.

Because we have not tuned or tested the 2009 programming will not work.

Please reply with previous emails attached as this will help me serve you better.

Thanks, Rich Mckenzie

I turned wrenches for years before going to work for Bell Atlantic (Now Verizon), and yet I still had a brain fart and missed a step during an oil change on the bike and ended up double gasketing it. I was lucky when it finally blew out. There was oil covering both tires and I should have gone down. The crazy part was that I made it 250 miles before it gave up the ghost.

Its a waste of money dude, the superchips tune isn't that great and you forfeiture your warranty.

If your gonna get rid of your waranty get a Trifecta or HPT tune (by a known good LNF tuner) and you will get more power and a safer tune imo.

...and meanwhile, I've just finished 36,000 wonderful miles of driving pleasure utilizing the GM upgrade with nary a burp.

Whatever method you choose, good luck with it!
