2 Rock chips in less than 2 days

I park a mile away from everyone else, and yesterday, I come out of Walmart, I am parked at the very end of the parking lot, two cars park on either side of me, what the heck they are doing out there I don't know b/c they weren't nice cars, and one left me my first door ding. 600 miles on my SS! Why are people so rude that they have to slam open their door on someone else's car???

Seriously though, poop happens. I have a rock chips near the sunroof (I thought it had hit it at first!), a door ding on the passenger door down to the white, and just noticed some more little chips on the hood yesterday. I've had Blackie almost a year and the less I worry, the better I feel.
I will be going to the dealer to get touch up for the chips--don't want them to start rusting. Other then that, Blackie is always sparkling and that is as far as my anal-ness will go with him--keeping him clean is enough of a challenge!
Oh yes--I park far away too, but mainly so I can walk more. And, I have been told that no one likes parking next to me at work as mine is always the cleanest/shiniest car in the lot! I put other black cars to shame!

SO I'm at the airport, sitting in my 94 Ford Explorer, listening to the last couple of mintes of a song. My Explorer is in pretty good shape with a couple of small dings and dents, but for a 14 year old car it's pretty good.
Along comes some guy in a brand new Mercedes, parks next to me on the passenger side, and procedes to open his door right into the side of my car. He looks at me shrugs, goes to the back of his car, pulls out his bag and heads to the terminal.
Song ends, I get out, pull out my stuff and walk over to the side where the Mercedes door dinged me, and there is a BIG mark in my door where there had never been one. Well I'm pissed now, so I hual off and put my heel intothe Mercedes driver's door. Not too hard, but I figure it'll leave a mark.
OMG. I collapsed half of the door!!!!!! There is a dent the size of New Jersey in this guys door. Oh well, I backed out and parked a couple of spaces over, and went and caught my plane.......

I drive my SS......just like I drive my '35 Sedan hot rod....it's gonna get a little road rash from time to time. After all these years of driving performance cars, classics and hot rods, you just learn to accept it & deal with it.
