2010 ss full suspension upgrade?

Hello, I'm sure there are tons of forums relating to suspension. I have a 2010 SS automatic. I'm debating whether to replace struts, springs and shocks with new OEM FE5 parts and Powell springs or there is a BC coilover complete set with end links from Modern Performance. Both are $1000. Not planning on racing on the track. Just want a good ride and stance. Just purchased this ride and someone has cut the OEM springs, so it is riding pretty low and it rides like$%^#! I also was thinking of upgrading all of the bushings while I'm at it. I know there is some better stuff out there, but I also don't want to break the bank.
Thank you for any guidance.

Welcome to the site. :thumb:

Someone cut the OEM springs ? Might be possible to do on the fronts but don't think you could on the backs. The back springs have that tapered "pigs tail " design. If you cut them, one end wouldn't have that taper to hold them in the mount.

If this is your DD you should go with stock FE5 plus powell springs for lower stance. Coilovers are too stiff for DD depending on condition of the roads where you live. I am going this route once my struts wear out.

or koni inserts, if you are motivated. much more work, and maybe more results. This chassis actually is still very high in the price/capability world...

Thank you for the feedback. I think the stock FE5 with Powell springs sounds simple enough.

The Powell springs are pricey and for the Cobalts,

Powell YYZ V5 Spring Pkg YYZ V.5

I'd still go for these!

A much better deal!

That link you posted is for the older YYZ V3 springs. Not the newer V5's that Oldblue's link goes to.
