3"cat-less down pipe

:winner:
last nite i installed my zzp cat-less down pipe & I just love the way it sounds now with the stock exhaust in place + the little performance gain that the butt-dyno felt:steering:

Did you have to tune for this? Some people say yes and some say no from what I am gathering. I'm trying to figure out if a cat less dp is something I can do before tuning

Fuel HHR 04-08-2013 05:46 PM

I'm not tuned & haven't had a cel pop up. So I say go for it you won't be disappointed

The ecm has a learn down feature. You can add toys but will not reap the rewards until tuned. Gmtu will turn off the learn down, but to truly get the most out of your parts you need to tune for it. Cuz right now your car is pulling power to compensate for the add ons.

Been running catless for years. Love it.

I hear what your saying I'm adding up the bolt-ons & going save up for a tune hopefully

Agreed! this was my plan. although BNR has the trifecta tune on sale right now... it is very tempting haha

Catless and lovin' it

Better sound, better spool, bigger smiles. Daily driver here....nearing 90K.

Only the GM tune here. Threw a few cels in the beginning, after a few months none. Love it.

I have a code reader/clearer anyways and recommend that as a first buy to anyone with a car. Invest in a decent reader, one that can do any car, and it will save you lots of headaches, dealer charges and piece of mind for all your cars.
