With enough money it can be done. Not real familiar with the 6 speed but I don't think this transmission will even physically bolt up to the HHR engine. I could be wrong though.

It's not worth the trouble, the bell housing should be the same but you would problaly need a custom clutch and shifting cables plus the gearbox sucks in all honesty

ok Thanks... from what i read 1950 rpm @ 65mph would be nice...... since most of my highway driving is 80+ could save some fuel..

That statement always makes me wonder. Considering the cost of the transmission, and the cost to adapt it if it could be done, how long would you have to drive for the fuel savings to reach the point where it pays for the swap?

Chevrolet has come out with a 6-speed manual (Tremec TR3160) for the upcoming 2013 Cadillac ATS that is mated to a 2nd gen LNF engine (up by 10 hp)...Possibly this would fit but you would have to sell your kidney, your left nut and possibly 2 fingers to buy it !!!!! Everything can be done, it all depends on how much time and money you are willing to spend......

Cheers, Roberto

Considering the expense, engineering headaches, and compatibility issues....just save your kidney and wait in line for the new Caddy ATS.

I just can't get to a 4 cylinder Cadillac. I have a hard enought time with the V6. Guess I'm just too old school, or just old...

The ATS is a rear drive. I doubt it'll just bolt up and work.
