So drving home yesterday i decided to do a quick run and when i went to shift 2-3 my trans pretty much said FU and gave up on me. Long story short i blew out third gear completely. After some searching i found a trans with 10 miles on it from an SS that was totalled on a test drive and this trans has the G85(LSD) so im really happy. It will begetting ordered today

So why isn't this covered under warranty??

he's modded. and yes if they dug deep enough they could tell he was flashed.

good find bart. thinking about trying to find me some extra parts to buy before i put anymore power to this thing. you are the second or third person i have heard this happen to .

 

If you don't mind me asking what all mods do you have done before you had this happen? Glad you found a replacement one though.

Great that you found one so quick... with low miles a G85 to boot.

 

As far as mods go i have a full 3" turboback exhaust, a bigger intercooler, intercooler piping, GM Stage 1 and a custom HPTune on top of it.

And yeah no warranty because the car is tuned. But you gotta pay to play

So i just ordered the trans. $494.32 ill be picking it up thursday. If you guys ever need parts for your cars call LKQ google them.

 

Sounds like a steal to me!
