auto not so bad
well when we traded in the SRT8 MAG for HHR SS, I lost my best friend, the 2.0 just, just ,just ,well it is a 2.0. So now 1.5 months and 5000 miles I have learned a few things, ( by the way the ss is an auto ) well in L with the launch controll on the car is a blast, it runs 10-15 psi boost shifts up and down when the comp tell it to, and the suspension is great
I still drive my srt4 during the week (15-18 psi boost), but on the weekend I do look forward to a few spins in the wifes SS

I know what you mean. My other car (see sig) just feels so much better. All of that displacement and V8 grunt is irreplaceable by a 4 banger, no matter how high tech it is!
But the SS sure handles great doesn't it? I love finding any excuse to go around the bends faster than a "car" shaped like this has a right to!
What sort of mileage were you getting on the Magnum? I get about 17 combined after the supercharger, which is why I got the HHR as my daily driver. Now I have been getting 25 combined. Much better!
Enjoy your new SS. These are really fun cars. And I can haul a good amount of people and stuff. You can probably haul more stuff in the SS than your Magnum actually. Given how much higher the cargo area is.
BTW, I had a Neon SRT4 (2005) that I traded in for the Mustang. Man, that car was a hoot. But it was so much more punishing than any other car I've owned. The exhaust note was great for a 4-banger, and I think the best sounding 4-cylinder car I've heard to date. The pops from the exhaust were awesome for a stock car. I think the SS can take it in the twisties though.
